BLAIR'S BRITAIN: THE COUNTRYSIDE

Tonight on Newsnight, Jeremy Paxman continues his series of films on Blair's Britain.

He's taken the train to Northumberland, close to where the Foot and Mouth epidemic began, to see how rural life has changed during the last decade and finds some people are still reeling from what happened then. One former farmer told him she believes that "country people are the most ignored minority group there is".

What do you think of the way Blair has handled the countryside? If you live or work in the countryside we'd also like to know your views. Join the debate here.
